The bathroom with a bath or shower was just what I needed after a long day exploring. It felt so luxurious to soak in the tub! As someone who loves relaxing in a nice bath, I couldn't have been happier.
Personally, I didn't enjoy the bathroom with just a shower. I prefer taking baths, so it was a bit disappointing for me.

The cottage is just a short walk from the village centre, where you'll find plenty of charming bars and restaurants to choose from. The cottage itself is beautifully clean and cosy, with wonderful original features like exposed beams and brickwork. We especially loved the warm gas fire and well-equipped kitchen. Plus, the owners were incredibly friendly and always available to help with anything we needed. With its great location and comfortable accommodations, Bramble Cottage was the perfect base for our family to explore Holmfirth.
For families with children, my wife says that it would be great to have some board games or toys available in the cottage.

Christmas at this cottage was fantastic! the newly refurbished cottage was incredibly clean and fresh, making our stay comfortable and cosy. the location was perfect, with easy walking access to the village center and stunning views over the valley. We enjoyed the warm gas fire and well-equipped kitchen, plus the cottage had lots of original features like exposed beams and brickwork. Parking was a breeze with the owner offering us his car space, and there was also convenient parking available on the main road just a short walk away.
That the cottage tended to get quite hot, but adjusting the radiators and having feather duvets/pillows for heat regulation would be a great suggestion. we had a wonderful Christmas break and loved our stay in this charming cottage with its great location, cozy atmosphere, and helpful owners.
